Through a study Method Research Consultants S.L.The. contributes to the fight against emerging insect-borne diseases in the European Union.
We performed a study of best practices for prevention and management of risks to the excessive proliferation of insects, detected in regions with similar characteristics in the territory of the European Union. Este estudio revela que la prevención de la infección y la gestión de los transmisores de enfermedades se configuran como un componente imprescindible para su control en Europa.
Vectors are living organisms – principalmente insectos – that can transmit infectious diseases among people, or from animals to people. these diseases, according to WHO, They represent over 17% de todas las enfermedades infecciosas y provocan, every year, más de 1 million deaths.

Por ello, and before this global picture, Método Estudios Consultores S.L.U. ha participado en el desarrollo del “Estudio preliminar sobre el riesgo del crecimiento excesivo de la población de insectos en la zona de frontera Rumanía – Bulgaria”. En este estudio también han participado entidades de Rumanía (SC Consultanta Method Studii Romania SRL, SC Market Research Cult SRL and SC SHIP SRL,pt) and Bulgaria.
This research is part, a su vez, dentro del proyecto “Elaboración y adopción de un partenariado institucionalizado común con respecto a la gestión del riesgo de la proliferación excesiva de insectos que afectan la salud pública y la seguridad en el marco de la región transfronteriza Rumanía-Bulgaria”, funded by Interreg V Romania-Bulgaria, with the project code 15.3.1.016.
PARTICIPACIÓN DE MÉTODO EN EL ESTUDIO
The role Consultants Study Method S.L.U. en este estudio se ha centrado en identificar y analizar las mejores prácticas implementadas en el campo de la prevención y de la gestión de los riesgos de la excesiva proliferación de insectos. Se trata de iniciativas exitosas, que han sido implementadas en distintas regiones Europeas. Para ello, It has had the collaboration of important international experts of the most prestigious organizations at the forefront in the control of infectious disease vectors.
Asimismo, thanks to these good practices, se han podido identificar zonas similares de estudio de poblaciones de insectos transmisores de enfermedades, con la finalidad de que puedan servir como modelo para las entidades de la zona transfronteriza Rumanía – Bulgaria.
Además, también se han aportado una serie de medidas y/o actuaciones dirigidas a conseguir un Protocolo institucional común, designed to prevent and manage the risks of proliferation of insects that affect human and animal health.
Por lo tanto, and thanks to this laborious study, It aims to improve the prevention and management of risks arising from the proliferation of insect populations, to face the important challenge, for global public health, infectious diseases transmitted by insects.
