The basis of any learning are desire to want to learn. Por tanto, It implies that teachers stop to value how to motivate a student.
We start analyzing the etymology of the term Motivation. This word comes from the Latin motivus (movement) and the suffix -ing (action and movement). In other words, It is what allows the person to be activated, It is the will to make an effort and so, achieve objectives.
McCleskey (2009), based on the model ARCS John Keller (1987) notes that to increase the motivation of students in e-learning are essential the following four elements:
– Aretention
– Relevancia
– Confianza
– Satisfacción
It is important to capture and hold the attention of the student, the content presented is of relevance to the user, provide the opportunity to conceptualize the material and the satisfaction of meeting the objectives and get even your certificate.
Teachers should use estrategias to increase student participation, the effort, motivation and creativity.
6 tips to motivate a student
